MLB Parlay Pick – Tuesday, June 11

MLB Parlay Pick – Tuesday, June 11

Arizona Diamondbacks Logo and Philadelphia Phillies Logo with a Baseball Background

A busy Tuesday night of MLB action leaves us with plenty of different directions to go for this evening’s three-game parlay ticket. Our choices include games from two of the more intriguing early-week series which got underway on Monday, as well as a potential World Series preview down in Houston.

The first game on our ticket is game two of a series between the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks and the Philadelphia Phillies. The two squads put on a show last night with an MLB-record 13 HRs in the game as the visitors prevailed by a score of 13-8.

Next up is the second game for the host Tampa Bay Rays and the Oakland A’s. The Rays got a leg up on the three-game set with a 6-2 victory on Monday night behind seven strong innings from Charlie Morton. The hosts have won four of their last five, while the A’s are 2-3 over the same span.

Our final contest is the first of an intriguing two-game set between a pair of World Series contenders. The Milwaukee Brewers will be down in Houston to take on the Astros. The visitors are riding a four-game winning streak entering tonight’s tilt, while the Astros have won three of four.

A busy night for MLB provides us with plenty of individual wagering opportunities. These three games are among the best of the bunch. Let’s take a look at them all in full detail, starting with the rematch of the long-ball festival in Philadelphia.

Spread:

Arizona +1.5 -160

Philadelphia -1.5 +140

Money line:

Arizona +125

Philadelphia -135

Total Points:

Diamondbacks vs. Phillies Pick:

In last night’s slugfest, Ildemaro Vargas was among the heroes for the Diamondbacks with a two homer, three RBI night. For the Phillies, Scott Kingery hit a pair of solo shots and also smacked a triple. The projected total for game two is just nine runs, so we’ll see if the bats stay alive on both sides.

The Matchup

RECORD STREAK L10 STANDINGS RS RA

Arizona 35-32 W5 7-3 3-NL West 355 294

NY Yankees 37-29 L2 4-6 1-NL East 324 305

Prior to opening the series in Philadelphia, the Diamondbacks spent the weekend in Toronto sweeping three over the Blue Jays. The team is 21-16 in road games thus far. The Phillies were home over the weekend taking two of three from the Cincinnati Reds. The club has a mark of 22-13 at home to date.

The Bats

HR RBI AVG OBP SLG RSL5

Arizona 103 338 .258 .322 .459 38

NY Yankees 81 310 .244 .323 .421 26

The Diamondbacks have the overall edge on offense, but both clubs have little trouble putting runs on the board. David Peralta is batting .300 to top Arizona. Eduardo Escobar leads the team with 17 homers and 54 RBIs. Jean Segura tops the Phillies with a .291 BA. Rhys Hoskins has the team lead with 14 HRs and 46 ribbies.

Starting Pitchers

W-L IP ERA WHIP K/9 OPS

Joe Duplantierr-R 1-0 22.0 3.27 1.14 9.41 .617

Jake Arrieta-R 5-5 79.2 4.29 1.43 7.34 .786

Duplantier has started two games this season 원엑스벳 and has seven appearances overall. For his last outing, he pitched five innings and gave up two earned runs in a no-decision versus the Los Angeles Dodgers. Arrieta was pretty steady in the early part of the year, but he has been tagged pretty well in his last two games. Last time out, he gave up five earned runs over 4.2 innings to the San Diego Padres.

The Bullpens

ERA SV IP OPS WHIP K/9

Arizona 4.21 15 243.2 .770 1.37 8.64

Philadelphia 4.27 19 223.1 .773 1.43 9.39

These two bullpens are nearly a statistical wash. Duplantier has lasted five innings in each of his last two games, but it’s tough to project what we’ll see tonight. Arrieta has made it through five innings or more in nine of his last 10 starts.

The Verdict

We’ll have to wait and see if last night’s fireworks show has any aftershocks for this evening’s contest. Arrieta is a proven commodity, while Duplantier is a question mark. We like the Phillies tonight. VISIT HERE

A’s vs. Rays Pick:

On Monday, Morton fanned seven batters over seven innings. He held the A’s off the scoreboard while giving up two its and a pair of walks. Brandon Lowe helped out on offense with a two-run homer in the sixth. The A’s rallied for two runs in the ninth, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap.

The Matchup

RECORD STREAK L10 STANDINGS RS RA

Oakland 33-34 L1 4-6 3-AL West 327 309

Tampa Bay 41-24 W2 6-4 1-AL East 310 210

Before this series got underway, the A’s were in Texas splitting a four-game set versus the Rangers. The team is 15-19 in away games thus far. The Rays spend the weekend in Boston taking three of four from the Red Sox. The club is 18-14 at home on the year.

The Bats

HR RBI AVG OBP SLG RSL5

Oakland 102 314 .245 .318 .430 22

Tampa Bay 88 295 .262 .337 .443 27

The A’s have the advantage when it comes to the long ball, but the offenses are pretty close overall. Marcus Semien is batting .276 to lead the A’s. Matt Chapman is tops on the team with 16 homers, while Josh Phegley leads with 38 ribbies. Austin Meadows leads the Rays with a .341 BA. Brandon Lowe is the team leader with 14 HRs and 43 RBIs.

Starting Pitchers

Mike Fiers-R 5-3 75.2 4.76 1.16 6.19 .718

Ryne Stanek-R 0-1 35.2 2.78 1.12 9.59 .621

Fiers had a couple of rough outings with six earned runs back in April, but he has settled down since then. In his last start, he gave three earned runs over six innings in a win over the Los Angeles Angels. Stanek has worked in an opener role for the Rays and done a real solid job overall. For his last outing, he pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless ball 피나클 versus the Red Sox.

The Bullpens

ERA SV IP OPS WHIP K/9

Oakland 4.44 14 255.2 .730 1.36 8.66

Tampa Bay 3.33 17 289.0 .679 1.24 8.88

Rays relievers have better numbers overall, and they’ve done it in more innings of work to boot. Fiers has lasted at least six innings for each of his last four starts. Stanek is generally done for the evening in two innings or less, so we should see multiple arms for Tampa Bay.

The Verdict

Stanek does a nice job of setting the tone for the Rays, and we’re expecting more of the same tonight. We’re rolling with Tampa Bay for game two on this evening’s parlay ticket.

The Matchup

RECORD STREAK L10 STANDINGS RS RA

Milwaukee 38-28 W4 7-3 1-NL Central 332 320

Houston 45-22 W1 8-2 1-AL West 342 245

The Brewers were home for three with the Pittsburgh Pirates over the weekend, sweeping the series by a combined score of 20-9. The team is 16-15 on the road for the season. The Astros spent the weekend at home taking two of three over the Baltimore Orioles. The club is a strong 24-9 at home on the year.

The Bats

HR RBI AVG OBP SLG RSL5

Milwaukee 114 328 .254 .334 .454 28

Houston 106 334 .267 .341 .470 18

These two offenses are real close overall, but the Brewers bats have been more productive over the last five games. Christian Yelich leads the way for Milwaukee with a .340 BA, 24 homers, and 53 RBIs. Mike Moustakas has chipped in with 20 HRs and 43 ribbies. For the Astros, Michael Brantley is batting .317 to top the team. Alex Bregman leads with 18 HRs and 44 RBIs.

Starting Pitchers

W-L IP ERA WHIP K/9 OPS

Freddy Peralta-R 3-2 44.0 5.11 1.45 10.64 .780

Brad Peacock-R 5-3 64.2 3.20 1.07 9.33 .613

Peralta had a few tough starts at the beginning of the year, but he has settled in nicely since that point. For his last start, he gave up one earned run over six innings in a win over the Miami Marlins. Peacock has been very consistent this year, but he was blown up for seven runs in a start back in May. Last time out, he gave up two earned runs over five innings in a loss to the Seattle Mariners.

The Bullpens

ERA SV IP OPS WHIP K/9

Milwaukee 4.36 20 270.1 .693 1.28 10.15

Houston 3.31 20 214.2 .634 1.14 9.81

Houston has one of the top bullpens in MLB, while Milwaukee’s relief corps is middle of the pack. Peralta has split time between starter and reliever this year, but he lasted six innings last time out. Peacock has lasted five innings or more in each of his last six starts.

The Verdict

It should be an interesting set between two of the top squads in MLB through the early part of the year. We like what we have seen out of Peacock of late. We’re rolling with the Astros for our final game.
